We are celebrating the 150th anniversary of the legendary Wanganella Stud because of the extraordinary achievements of all the people involved in breeding the Peppin Merinos.
As you’ll see from the programme the day is packed with activities. A 150th celebration
of Wanganella & the wool that took on the
world, wouldn’t be complete without shearing, so the day starts in the Boonoke Woolshed. Entertainment to follow includes fashion
shows, a burlesque troupe and great music –
and don’t miss the historical wool display from the Powerhouse Museum which includes wool fashions from the 19th and 20th Century.
We’re delighted you could join us for what we think will be a great celebration of what has been described as “Australia’s greatest contribution to its own and the world’s economic and textile development”.
